Ways to Pay Your Tithe and Offering and Make Other Donations
It isn't necessary to have a PayPal account to use the service. You can also mail checks to the church, 3518 W. 160th St., Markham, IL 60428. Or you can put your offering envelope through the slot in the top of the "little church" bank in the narthex. All loose bills/change will go to missions. Thank you!
Thrivent members, you can designate your "Choice Dollars" to Markham Lutheran Church. To do that & read more about Thrivent, go to: https://www.thrivent.com/
Or call 1-800-THRIVENT (1-800-847-4836) & say, "THRIVENT CHOICE." Answer questions & direct your choice dollars to Markham Lutheran Church.
Your tithe and offerings make it possible for MLC to keep going. The church budget includes the salaries of the Pastor and the church custodian, on which we pay the required employer contributions. (The organist/keyboardist volunteer their time and talents, as does the church secretary and the website and social media admin. It would be wise to plan for a time when some or all of those positions might need to be funded.) Just like you, the church pays heating (gas), electric and water bills. Every winter, our heating bills are in the thousands of dollars even with the thermostat turned waaaay down. It would be great to have enough money to replace our outdated heating system. We also have maintenance costs. Right now we're facing a potentially big plumbing bill.
Every dollar counts, and we appreciate whatever you can give.
